Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead IFRS 17 reporting and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards
  • Manage annual budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting processes
  • Oversee solvency modelling and preparation of regulatory returns
  • Handle corporate taxation matters and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Supervise monthly financial closing activities and reporting timelines
  • Provide financial insights to support strategic business decisions
  • Lead and mentor finance team members, ensuring operational efficiency
  • Coordinate with auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders


Requirements

  • Minimum 15+ years of overall finance experience
  • At least 5+ years of experience within the insurance industry
  • Minimum 5+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Hands-on experience in IFRS 17 reporting is mandatory
  • Prior experience working with a Big 4 consulting firm is required
  • Experience in a listed company environment is essential
  • Exposure to Takaful operations will be an added advantage
  • Experience within a Life Insurance company will be preferred
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
