Senior Executive - New Product Development

Roles & Responsibilities: -

• Conduct prototype and industrial trials as per requirements, in coordination with Production and Engineering teams.
• Generate Product Development Requests (PDR) for upcoming trials.
• Prepare monthly R&D reports, scrap reports, and raw material consumption reports for prototype and industrial trials.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for material requirements and with QC for product trials and inspections.
• Update Product Data Management (PDM) files as approved by QA and R&D Managers including changes in product introductions, production targets, batch sizes, formulations (Bill of Materials), and ingredient types.
• Regularly verify PDM data to ensure accuracy of consumption details for work order placement, material inventory control, and product costing.
• Review production variance reports weekly and report any deviations to the QA Manager.

Key Dimensions:

• Responsible for all product-related trial data documentation and process observations at plant level.
• Ensure smooth operation of the pilot plant and oversee related activities.
• Drive process improvements related to product manufacturing and efficiency.

Required Skills:

• M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry / Biotechnology / Food Technology or B.Tech in Biotechnology / Nutrition / Food Technology
• 46 years of experience in handling product development, prototype trials, and industrial trials in the food, biotechnology, or nutrition sector.
• Hands-on experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality.
