Position Overview:

The Senior Fundraising Executive will be responsible for driving fundraising initiatives to support Muktangans schools, teacher education programmes, and outreach projects. This role involves developing and executing fundraising strategies, cultivating and managing donor relationships, preparing impactful proposals, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements. The ideal candidate will bring 5 7 years of relevant fundraising or business development experience, with a proven record of achieving fundraising or revenue targets in the social or corporate sector.

Key Focus Areas

Hardcore fundraising with clear annual and quarterly targets

New donor acquisition (CSR, HNI, Foundations)

Fundraising closures and revenue delivery

Donor relationship management and retention

Key Responsibilities

1. Fundraising & Revenue Delivery (Primary Responsibility)

Own and deliver assigned fundraising targets from CSR, HNI, and Foundation donors.

Actively identify, prospect, pitch, negotiate, and close funding opportunities.

Build and manage a robust fundraising pipeline from lead generation to conversion.

Drive continuous donor acquisition to expand the funding base.

2. Donor Acquisition CSR, HNI & Foundations

Identify and onboard new corporate CSR partners, high-net-worth individuals, and philanthropic foundations.

Research donor priorities and align Muktangans programmes with donor interests.

Conduct donor meetings, presentations, and follow-ups leading to funding commitments.

3. Proposal Development & Fundraising Execution

Lead end-to-end proposal development including concept notes, budgets, and impact frameworks.

Work closely with programme and finance teams to ensure accurate proposals and timelines.

Ensure timely submission, follow-ups, and conversions of proposals into funds.

4. Donor Management & Retention

Manage an active portfolio of donors with a focus on repeat funding and long-term partnerships.

Ensure regular donor communication, impact reporting, and stewardship.

Coordinate donor visits, reviews, and engagement opportunities.

Strengthen donor confidence through timely utilisation reports and transparent communication.

5. Fundraising MIS & Performance Tracking

Maintain accurate donor databases, pipelines, and fundraising trackers.

Track progress against targets and share regular MIS and performance updates.

Analyse gaps, risks, and opportunities to improve fundraising outcomes.

6. Networking & Representation

Represent Muktangan at CSR forums, donor meets, and relevant networking platforms.

Build visibility and positioning for Muktangan among funding partners.

Required Experience & Competencies

Graduate/Postgraduate degree in Management, Marketing, Social Work, Development Studies, or related field.

57 years of hands-on fundraising or business development experience with clear target ownership.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding fundraising / revenue targets.

Strong exposure to CSR, HNI, and Foundation fundraising.

Excellent negotiation, pitching, and closure skills.

Strong proposal writing and donor communication capabilities.

Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver under pressure.

Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CRM/donor management systems preferred.

Strong professional network in the CSR and philanthropic ecosystem is an advantage.
