We are now looking to onboard a senior, technically strong Environmental Engineer who can lead process design, project estimation, stakeholder engagement, and innovation-driven grant initiatives.

Role Review

We are seeking an experienced Process / Design / Estimation Environmental Engineer with deep on-ground exposure to:

• Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs)
• Water Treatment Plants (WTPs)
• Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants (FSTPs)
• Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs)
• Waste-to-Energy systems

This role requires a blend of technical excellence, commercial understanding, and senior-level stakeholder management , especially with urban local bodies and government departments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical and Engineering

• Lead process design and hydraulic calculations for STPs, ETPs, FSTPs, and WTPs.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, layout concepts, and equipment sizing.
• Develop BOQs, CAPEX/OPEX models, and techno-commercial proposals.
• Support DPR preparation for government and PPP projects.
• Evaluate new technologies and pilot systems for wastewater and waste-to-energy applications.
• Carry out process modelling and optimisation using wastewater treatment simulation software.

Estimation and Tendering

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid documents.
• Support tender submissions, technical clarifications, and negotiations.
• Work closely with execution teams for constructability and optimisation.

Stakeholder Management

• Represent Bharat Ecolabs in meetings with:
• 
  
• Municipal Corporations
• State PWDs / Urban Development Departments
• Pollution Control Boards
• Bureaucrats and PSU officials
• Deliver confident technical presentations and project walkthroughs.
• Coordinate with consultants, EPC partners, and government agencies.

Grants & Innovation

• Identify suitable Government and international grants for:
• 
  
• New product development
• Wastewater treatment innovations
• Waste-to-energy solutions
• Draft grant proposals and technical justifications.
• Liaise with ministries, funding agencies, and incubators.

Desired Profile

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental / Civil / Chemical Engineering.
• 810+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in STP/ETP/FSTP/WTP process design.
• Proven track record in DPRs and government projects.
• Proficiency in one or more wastewater treatment simulation tools such as GPS-X, STOAT, BioWin, WEST, or similar platforms .
• Comfortable interacting with senior officials and policymakers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience in grants, research funding, or innovation programs is a strong plus.
