Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with substantive experience in solar PV and battery energy storage systems to join our growing team in Hyderabad. This is a role requiring both engineering rigour and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will contribute across project assessment, technical due diligence, performance modelling, and market-facing advisory for clients in the US and UK markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical assessments and engineering design of utility-scale solar and hybrid BESS projects
• Develop and review energy yield models, performance analyses, and battery dispatch optimisation strategies
• Support revenue stacking analysis across ancillary service markets and wholesale energy trading frameworks
• Conduct technical due diligence for project development, financing, and M&A transactions
• Engage directly with clients to deliver technically sound, commercially relevant advisory outputs
• Maintain current knowledge of evolving grid codes, market regulations, and technology developments across US and UK markets

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related discipline
• 58 years of hands-on experience in solar PV and/or BESS within project development, engineering consultancy, or technical advisory
• Demonstrable exposure to US power markets (CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, MISO) or UK grid and balancing mechanisms (BM, FFR, DC, CfD frameworks)
• Proficiency in energy modelling tools such as PVsyst, Pvcase, AutoCAD or equivalent platforms; experience with Python or data analysis tools is advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical complexity into clear, client-ready deliverables
• High degree of professional independence and accountability in managing workstreams.
