Job Description
Job responsibilities of Supplier Quality Engineer :
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers for substation equipment and tower fabrication.
- Review and approve manufacturing processes, WPS/PQRs, and material certifications.
- Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with ISO, IEC, and AWS standards.
- Monitor supplier KPIs and lead root cause analysis for quality issues.
- Oversee FAT, type tests, and routine inspections at supplier sites.
- Maintain quality documentation and generate performance reports.
- In-depth understanding of substation equipment (transformers, breakers, CTs/PTs, etc.)
- Familiarity with tower fabrication processes and structural steel standards.
- Knowledge of international standards: IEC, IEEE, ISO 9001, AWS D1.1.
- Proficiency in quality tools: FMEA, 8D, SPC, CAPA.
- Strong documentation, communication, and supplier management skills.
