Role Overview

Lead the design and build of floating bodies and auxiliaries for offshore renewables including floating solar platforms, service pontoons, and near-shore structures. The role combines design, materials engineering, fabrication oversight, and mooring system development from concept to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design floating structures (frames, decks, bulkheads, joints, stability, and buoyancy).
• Develop and test welded, bolted, and polymer joints (MS, SS, HDPE, composites).
• Design and size mooring and anchoring systems for metocean conditions.
• Optimize structures for weight, cost, stiffness, and corrosion protection.
• Oversee fabrication, QA/QC, NDT, and yard/site integration.

Essential Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture.
• 412 years experience in shipbuilding, offshore, or floating-solar fabrication.
• Proven hands-on skills in MS and HDPE joining , leakproof compartment design, and structural calculations.
• Working knowledge of mooring design and field implementation.
• Willingness for yard/site travel and close coordination with fabricators.

Preferred Qualifications

• PG in Naval Architecture / Offshore Engineering.
• Exposure to floating solar, near-shore structures, or workboats.
• Knowledge of composites, metocean loads, corrosion, and fatigue.
• Familiarity with vendor development for offshore components.
