Job Description: Sr. Engineer – Technology

Position: Sr Engineer

Reporting to: Senior Lead Engineer

No. of Direct Reports: Nil

No. of Indirect Reports:Nil

Key Purpose of the Job :

Development of Induction motor/high efficiency special electric machines(PMSM, Syn Rel)

Educational Qualification / Experience required :

Bachelors/Masters in Electrical Engineering
Experience of 4 to 6 years in Electrical motor industry
Hands on experience in EM design of Induction motors/PMSM/Syn Rel

Key Responsibilities :

1. Responsible for EM design, proto building and proving
2. Responsible for getting the statutory approval for motors

Task Analysis:

Indicative Tasks

1. Responsible for EM design, proto building and proving

Understand the VOC and prepare the design strategy

EM design, loss prediction, cowork with mechanical team to achieve optimum thermal/electrical perfromance

Asess the impact of motor performance due to mechanical stress and arrive at the optimum design to test ratio

2. Responsible for getting the statutory approval for motors

Awarness on NEMA/IEC standard approval

CE/UL approval in coordination with external agencies/lab

Ensuring availability of all necessary standards
