Senior Engineer - Mechanical Durability Testing

Youll be our : Mechanical Durability Testing - Senior Engineer

Youll be based at : Athers Product Validation Lab, Begur (Bangalore)

Youll be aligned with : Lead - Mechanical Durability

Youll be joining our : Product Validation Lab Team (PVL)

What youll do at Ather

• Defining test strategies for one of the mechanical durability: Component and vehicle
• Responsible for performing all mechanical durability component & vehicle level tests.
• Responsible in handling measuring instruments
• Responsible for planning of required equipments for durability testing
• Responsible for inhouse fixture design and development
• Responsible of data analysis and reporting of measured data from tests
• Responsible for defining test specs from measurement and benchmarking for all durability tests
• Responsible for test time reduction and Automating of test setups
• Responsible for bug reporting, failure replication, and root cause analysis
• Preparing test reports and reviewing internally
• Representing PVL in swimlanes and directing the tasks to respective testing teams
• Driving DVP planning and signoff with required stake holders
• Connect with design/ CAE teams to understand the failure modes and develop test setups for target load cases
• Data management of all test conducted in standardized format and sharing with cross functional teams

• Understanding of electric vehicle dynamics and performance.
• Experience of working in a mechanical durability or technical support group.
• Expertise in fixturing/test development.
• Experience in servo hydraulic actuators.
• Good and technical communication skills & Punctuality.

What you bring to Ather

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 5- 8 years of work experience in the field of product validation within automotive industry.
