Role Description:

The Senior Engineer (Pune & Hyderabad) plays a key leadership role in managing the design, coordination, and execution of electrical systems for construction projects. This position provides technical guidance, ensures code compliance, and collaborates across departments to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and timely project outcomes. The role combines hands-on engineering with construction field support and project leadership.

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Should be able to lead 5-10 cr fitout / basebuild projects.
• Lead the planning, design, and implementation of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, and submittals.
• Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for electrical systems such as medium/low voltage power distribution, lighting, grounding, emergency power, fire alarm, and telecom.
• Oversee quality control and compliance with relevant codes (e.g., NEC, NFPA, IEEE) and client standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural and mechanical engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors during design and construction phases.
• Support procurement strategies by reviewing technical submittals and vendor qualifications.
• Conduct site inspections and field engineering to resolve design or construction issues in real time.
• Mentor and supervise junior engineers and project engineers, fostering technical development.
• Assist project managers with budgeting, value engineering, and schedule planning.
• Lead or support commissioning activities, testing, and project close-out documentation.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, constructability, and cost-effectiveness throughout all project phases.

Must Have Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of construction processes, electrical codes, and industry best practices. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination tools.
• Familiarity with construction project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Primavera, MS Project).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Education:
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) strongly preferred.
• Minimum 710 years of experience in electrical design and construction support, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Other Skills :

• Experience in design-build or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects.
• Experience in Interior fitout projects/Basebuild projects/Industrial Projects
• Experience leading teams and interfacing with clients, inspectors, and AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction).
• Combination of office, design coordination meetings, and frequent visits to active construction sites.
• May require travel to project locations or client offices.
• Occasional extended hours during project deadlines or commissioning phases.
