The opportunity:
The Senior Energy Engineer is responsible for driving energy efficiency by analysing usage, leading audits and projects, staying current with technology, and collaborating globally to implement sustainable solutions.
How you’ll make an impact:
Consolidate energy usage patterns across all operating units identifying major energy sources and applications.
Stay updated on energy technology: Keep abreast of developments in energy technology, alternative sources and legislations to ensure compliance and implement advanced solutions.
Coordinate with stakeholders and plan execution of optimum modifications required to optimize energy usage and reduce carbon emissions in Hitachi Energy’s transformer operations.
Lead energy efficiency and conservation projects: oversee and manage energy efficiency initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring they align with the company's goals.
Conduct energy audits: Perform detailed energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for energy savings.
Analyse Energy Data: Monitor and analyse energy consumption data, preparing reports on energy usage and savings.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Real Estate, Operations, Environment Specialists, and Supply Chain Management across global operations in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
Provide technical expertise: Offer technical support and guidance to the organization on energy-related matters.
Compliance: Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering or related field with 5-10 years of experience in the energy management field.
Strong knowledge of global energy and carbon emissions scenarios and challenges facing the planet and an understanding of how these differ across countries.
Experience and skills to work in cooperation with a large number of stakeholders, with the ability to bring teams on the same page for acceptable solutions.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
ISO certifications and audit experience, mainly for energy efficiency (ISO 50001 and 50002).
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
