As part of our growing design team, we are seeking a Senior Embroidery Designer who can create innovative embroidery designs for sarees and ethnic wear while ensuring smooth execution from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and design embroidery concepts, motifs, and placements for sarees and ethnic wear.
• Work on multiple embroidery techniques, including computer (machine) embroidery, hand embroidery, gota patti, zari work, and patchwork.
• Develop detailed embroidery layouts, swatches, and artwork for sampling and bulk production.
• Select appropriate threads, colors, fabrics, and embellishments based on design requirements.
• Coordinate with karigars, embroidery vendors, machine units, and sampling teams for accurate execution.
• Oversee embroidery sampling to ensure designs are translated correctly into finished products.
• Ensure embroidery designs meet quality standards, timelines, and cost feasibility.
• Collaborate with the design, merchandising, and production teams for smooth workflow.
• Keep track of market trends and evolving embroidery techniques relevant to ethnic wear.
• Research seasonal trends, colors, motifs, and techniques in Indian fashion while incorporating global influences for fusion designs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a reputed fashion/design college (e.g., NIFT, NID, Pearl Academy, or equivalent).
• 56 years of relevant experience as an Embroidery Designer.
• Prior experience in ethnic wear, preferably sarees.
• Strong understanding of hand embroidery techniques; knowledge of machine embroidery is an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong design sensibility and attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Indian embroidery techniques and materials.
• Ability to manage multiple designs and timelines.
• Practical, production-oriented approach.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop is preferred.
