Job Description
1.Role Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Product Development Engineer with strong expertise in Embedded Hardware or Software Development, basic-to-moderate knowledge in Hardware or Software Design, and deep hands-on experience with Microcontrollers and Processors used in IoT and Industrial Automation.
The candidate will lead development of advanced products such as wireless transmitters, battery-powered IoT devices and smart edge-processing devices.
This is an end-to-end role across concept architecture processor + hardware selection firmware testing certification production.
2.Processor / Microcontroller Skills:
The candidate must have strong real-world experience with:
ARM CortexM Series
STM32L4 / L5 / F4 / F7 / G0 series
Low-power optimization on Cortex-M0/M3/M4/M33
Bootloader development, memory mapping, IRQ handling
ESP32 Family
WiFi + BLE
IDF, FreeRTOS porting, OTA updates
Optimizing tasks and heap for mixed wireless + sensor applications
Linux-Based Processors of STM/NXP/Ti or any other (Preferred)
Low-power design for battery-powered devices
Multi-threaded RTOS architecture
Interrupt-driven design
DMA-based data acquisition
High-speed ADC sampling and signal processing
Modbus/TCP for Linux processors
3.Key Responsibilities:
A.Product Architecture & Design
Select the right processor/microcontroller based on power, cost, memory, communications, and product roadmap.
Create firmware architectures for sensors, communications, storage, display, and power subsystems.
Evaluate LoRa/GSM/BLE module integration with processor pins, clocks, power rails, and interfaces.
Finalize hardwarefirmware interaction architecture.
B.Firmware Development:
Develop firmware in C/C++ on STM32, ESP32, and Linux processors.
Multi-tasking using FreeRTOS or other RTOS frameworks.
Drivers for ADC, DAC, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB.
Sensor reading, filtering, calibration logic.
Power-optimized firmware for battery-operated IoT devices.
Bootloader, OTA, DFU implementation for all processor families.
Develop edge intelligence logic for advanced controllers.
C.Hardware Coordination:
Participate in schematic review, power tree validation, and PCB layout evaluation.
Validate processor-related power supply design (buck/boost, LDOs, decoupling).
Review EMI/EMC compliance and test findings for processor blocks.
Assist hardware team for debugging using SWD/JTAG, scope, LA.
D.Testing, Field Execution & Certification:
Full hardware-software integration testing.
Environmental testing support (thermal chamber, vibration, IP).
EMI/EMC pre-compliance debugging.
Field testing for LoRa range, GSM connectivity, noise immunity.
4.Required Skills:
Core Technical Skills
Strong embedded C/C++
STM32 + ESP32 hands-on experience (5+ years combined)
RTOS (FreeRTOS mandatory), multi-tasking
ADC/DAQ architecture understanding
Communication protocols:
LoRa/LoRaWAN
BLE/WiFi
MQTT
CAN, RS485 (Modbus RTU/TCP)
Debugging tools: JTAG, SWD, logic analyzer
Hardware understanding: power tree, analog front-ends, PCB review
Additional Preferred Skills
Linux user-space driver development
Yocto/Buildroot
Python for testing/automation
Knowledge of explosion-proof / intrinsic safety design
DSP/Signal analysis for SRP Dynacard or vibration analysis
5.Educational Qualification:
B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in Embedded Systems, Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or equivalent.
6.Experience:
612 years of embedded product development
Must have delivered minimum 35 commercial products from scratch
Experience leading junior team members
