Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Transmission lines & substations 11 kV 380 kV)

Job Summary

The senior electrical engineer shall be capable of performing the following functions for an EPC international company from their head office in Beirut, Lebanon and active in Africa & the Middle East:

1.Design of transmission lines and substations (distribution & transmission) for the voltage range 11 kV 380 kV.

2.Pricing and preparation of proposals for transmission lines & substations tenders.

3.Supervise Testing & commissioning of the whole electrical system elements.

Candidate should have the following minimum qualifications:

1.Electrical engineering degree with at least 10 years experiences out of which 5 years in transmission lines & substations (distribution & transmission).

2.Capable of using AutoCAD.

3.Capable of using PLSCADD software.

4.Capable of using ETAP software.

5.Proficiency in English language. French knowledge would be a plus.

6.Preparation of plan & profile drawings, layout drawings, sag templates, stringing sags, tension charts, voltage drop, material take-off, etc.

7.Preparation and review of construction package including drawings, specifications, manuals, material take-off, vendor data sheets, etc.

8.Assessment of existing conditions at site and provide recommendations.

9.Preparation of as-built drawings.

10.Fair knowledge of balance of systems elements to include substation automation system, battery room, grounding and shielding, power system protection, etc.

11.Familiarity with applicable international standards: IEC, ASC, IEEE, NFPA, and CIGRE.
