Senior Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong fundamentals in power distribution systems, voltage & load calculations, and electrical drawings. The role involves preparing and reviewing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, and CAD drawings for infrastructure and telecom-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform voltage drop, load flow, and short-circuit calculations for electrical systems.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Develop detailed electrical drawings using MODCSOFT (ElectricalOM) or equivalent tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or ETAP.
• Export electrical designs into CAD drawings as per project requirements.
• Interpret technical specifications, BOQs, and client requirements to deliver compliant designs.
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable electrical standards, safety codes, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with CAD engineers, site teams, and stakeholders to validate design accuracy.
• Revise drawings based on design changes, site feedback, and approvals.
• Maintain proper documentation, revision control, and design records.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E / B.Tech).
• 57 years of experience in electrical design for infrastructure / power / telecom projects.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, transformers, feeders, UPS, DG, and switchgear.
• Hands-on experience with SLD preparation and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in Electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN / ETAP / MODCSOFT).
• Sound understanding of electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Added Advantage (Good to Have)

• Experience in telecom infrastructure / data center / large facility projects.
• Knowledge of City & Guilds 2396 Design and Verification.
• Familiarity with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• Exposure to MODCSOFT (ElectricalOM).
