McDonalds has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Director, Finance (Functional Solutions & Global Process). This role leads a global team of technology and business leaders responsible for translating finance requirements into strategic system roadmaps and delivering technology solutions that power Global Finance operations. The Senior Director oversees the execution and optimization of core finance platforms and partners closely with Global Process Owners to drive process standardization and continuous improvement. This position reports to the VP, Finance Experience and oversees a team of 7 direct reports across systems and process domains.

The candidate is expected to reside in Hyderabad, India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for updates and issue escalations to the VP, Finance Experience regarding finance systems and process performance.
  • Lead a global team of technology and business leaders who define and deliver system strategies aligned with finance objectives.
  • Oversee Global Process Owners responsible for improving and standardizing end-to-end finance processes across the enterprise.
  • Ensure the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of financial data produced by GBS Finance systems, enabling confident decision-making.
  • Drive successful execution of finance operations through technology enablement, addressing escalations and ensuring system integrity.
  • Partner with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to deliver seamless system performance and process outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by measuring system and process performance and implementing enhancements.
  • Provide strategic leadership and coaching to direct reports, fostering innovation, accountability, and professional growth.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or local equivalent) preferred
  • Overall experience of 20+ years in the industry.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant and progressive experience in finance systems, operations, or transformation roles
  • English Proficiency (written and verbal IRL Level 4)
  • Proven experience leading global teams and managing finance technology platforms
  • Experience in Oracle Fusion and EPM Tech Skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Tririga.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and compliance requirements
  • Expertise in systems strategy, implementation, and process optimization
  • Demonstrated success in driving standardization and digital transformation across finance functions
  • Skilled in vendor management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Effective communicator with strong influencing and decision-making capabilities
  • Comfortable navigating complex issues in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Experience in Global Leadership & Scale, Transformation & System ownership
