Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and resilient cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD automation, container platforms, cloud-native services, and observability. The engineer will partner closely with development, security, and platform teams to enable rapid, reliable software delivery while optimizing cost and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep) to ensure consistency, scalability, and governance.

Lead CI/CD strategy and implementation using Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines, enabling automated build, test, and deployment workflows.

Architect, deploy, and operate container platforms using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including cluster security, networking, scaling, and upgrades.

Manage Azure App Services and cloud-native workloads to ensure high availability, performance, and secure application hosting.

Design and maintain Azure networking components including Load Balancers, Application Gateway, and Web Application Firewall (WAF).

Operate and optimize Azure Virtual Machines, ensuring patching, performance, security, and lifecycle management.

Implement and manage observability solutions using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, ELK Stack, Datadog, or equivalent platforms.

Design and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions using Azure Backup and Rubrik.

Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises or legacy platforms to Azure with minimal downtime and optimized architectures.

Collaborate with development teams to support application deployments, troubleshoot issues, and improve release reliability.

Drive automation through scripting and configuration management to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Optimize cloud costs through monitoring, right-sizing, and governance best practices.

Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, Containers).

Proven expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar tools.

Experience with CI/CD platforms, preferably Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines.

Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based architectures.

Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, and Python.

Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging platforms.

Solid understanding of backup, disaster recovery, and high availability designs.

Experience delivering cloud migration projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Azure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect.

Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP).

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Experience working in agile and DevOps-oriented teams.
