About the Role

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer who’s excited to build, automate, and scale our enterprise-grade data platform. You’ll work across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (primarily AWS and Azure), modernising infrastructure and enabling secure, efficient delivery of data services.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with data engineers, architects, and senior DevOps professionals to ensure our platform is reliable, scalable, and future-ready.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll contribute across four key areas:

Infrastructure & Automation

• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools

• Develop CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments

• Support containerisation and Kubernetes-based workloads

Platform Operations

• Monitor platform health and respond to incidents

• Participate in root cause analysis and drive operational improvements

• Implement security controls and compliance monitoring

Collaboration & Delivery

• Partner with data engineers to deliver pipelines and services

• Assist in deploying ETL/ELT workflows and data products

• Integrate new tools and technologies into the platform

Learning & Development

• Stay current with DevOps best practices and cloud-native tech

• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions

• Take ownership and grow into a subject matter expert

• Experience in DevOps or platform engineering, ideally in cloud-native or data-focused environments

• Proficiency with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi) and CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes

• Scripting skills in Python or Bash

• Understanding of AWS, Azure, and their DevOps services

• Exposure to data tools like Spark, Airflow, or Kafka is a plus

• Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)

• Awareness of IAM, RBAC, and secrets management

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing team
