Role: Senior Developer – Security Operations Automation

We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our Security Operations Automation team—an advanced engineering group driving the next generation of intelligent, autonomous cybersecurity operations.

You will design and build scalable, high-performance systems that combine traditional automation with AI-powered decision-making, agentic frameworks, and detection-as-code pipelines. Your work will directly improve incident response, detection reliability, and operational efficiency across Arctic Wolf’s global Security Operations Centers.

This is a hands-on, highly technical role for a developer who thrives at the intersection of software engineering, cybersecurity, and applied AI.

You will collaborate with top threat researchers, data scientists, detection engineers, and security operations experts to build real-world solutions to complex security problems.

About the Role

• Develop, test, and deploy automation systems that enhance SOC workflows using cloud-native, data-intensive, and AI-driven architectures.

• Build and maintain detection pipelines, incident response playbooks, enrichment services, and agentic automation systems.

• Collaborate closely with threat detection, incident response, data science, and platform engineering teams to deliver secure, reliable, and context-aware automation capabilities.

• Contribute to architectural discussions on integrating LLMs, reasoning agents, and autonomous task execution frameworks into SOC tooling.

• Drive code quality, performance, and maintainability across the team’s services.

• Explore and prototype innovative uses of AI in detection, triage, and response workflows.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development, infrastructure engineering, or security-focused systems.

• Strong understanding of automation design patterns, data pipelines, and distributed systems.

• Hands-on experience with Python, Go, or similar backend languages.

• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience integrating or building systems with AI/ML components in production.

• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate SOC and security goals into scalable technical solutions.

• Passion for working in fast-moving, mission-driven environments where security, AI, and engineering excellence meet.
