Semifive India Design Centre, headquartered in Bangalore, is our rapidly growing capability centre that plays a pivotal role in delivering complex SoC programs for global customers. The India team is at the forefront of RTL design, verification, IP creation, and physical implementation, working closely with worldwide teams to bring turnkey silicon solutions to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • RTL Design & Implementation
  • Contribute to micro-arch, RTL coding, and integration of complex IP and SoC
  • Work on high-performance, low-power logic design across SoC blocks such as interconnects, memory controllers, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Own design deliverables from specification to synthesis handoff, ensuring area, performance, and power goals are achieved.
  • Implement and optimize logic for LPDDR4/5, DDR5, PCIe Gen3/4/5, and CSI-2 / MIPI D-PHY / C-PHY subsystems.
  • Integration & Collaboration
  • Integrate internally developed and third-party IPs into the SoC top level, ensuring clean connectivity, interface compliance, and timing closure.
  • Collaborate with verification, physical design, and DFT teams for seamless design bring-up and signoff.
  • Support front-end design activities across multiple SoC programs, including platform-based and customer turnkey designs.
  • Quality & Methodology
  • Apply RTL design, linting, CDC analysis, & synthesis readiness checks.
  • Participate in code and arch reviews, driving efficiency & reuse
  • Contribute to flow automation, scripting, and methodology enhancements.
  • Customer & Cross-Site Interface
  • Collaborate closely with global Semifive teams in Korea, and Europe, supporting IP delivery and SoC integration for customer programs.
  • Engage with customer design teams to clarify specifications, resolve interface issues, and ensure on-time deliverables.
  • Provide detailed technical documentation, design reviews, and handoff support to both internal and external teams.

Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical / Electronics / VLSI Engineering.
  • 510 years of experience in digital RTL design for complex SoC or IP development.
  • Strong expertise in:
  • Micro-architecture and RTL coding in Verilog/SystemVerilog.
  • LPDDR4/5, DDR5, PCIe Gen3/4/5, CSI-2, and MIPI D-PHY/C-PHY interface design or integration.
  • AMBA (AXI, AHB, APB) bus protocols and interconnect architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Lint/CDC tools (Spyglass, VC-Lint, or similar).
  • Synthesis and STA (Design Compiler, PrimeTime) understanding.
  • Exposure to low-power design (UPF/CPF) and multi-voltage design concepts.
  • Proven track record of quality RTL delivery across multiple IPs or SoC tapeouts.
  • Good understanding of functional verification and debug using VCS, Questa
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.
