Reporting to : Project Lead Retail

Location : Bangalore, Full Time

Qualification : BE/MTech in Mechanical Engineering

Experience : 3 - 6 Years

Position Overview:

This role is in the Design team for Retail space solution LLC business; A central role in creating innovative merchandising solutions used in retail environments. This position focuses on conceptualizing, designing, prototyping, and industrializing products made from plastics and sheet metal, supporting the companys mission to improve product presentation, increase facings, and enhance instore efficiency.

The role requires strong design engineering capability, familiarity with manufacturing processes, and the ability to collaborate crossfunctionally from concept to launch.

Mandatory Skills:

• 3-6 years experience in design and development of plastic injection-molded and sheet-metal components, applying DFM/DFA principles to support high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience in leading end-to-end mechanical product development from concept through production, ensuring compliance with performance, cost, and quality objectives.
• Experience in performing tolerance stack-up, fitment, and clearance analysis to ensure functional and assembly requirements are met.
• Experience in supporting prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up, including resolution of design- and process-related issues.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 3 to 6 years of experience in New product design & development, VA/VE, cost optimization, or related engineering roles.
• A seasoned, result-oriented engineer who can work independently once given direction, has good rapport with coworkers, can listen, be creative, and is detailed oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail, accuracy, and flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needs and project priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly, collaborate effectively across functions, and work both independently and in team leadership roles.
• Maintains a good attitude, persistence, and drive focused on finding a way to accomplish the objectives.
• Willing to travel within or outside India as and when needed (about 10% of travelling per year)
