Senior Design Engineer – Heavy Machinery

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Design Engineers with experience in rebuild operations , tooling design , and heavy machinery components . Ideal candidates will have hands-on expertise in Creo modelling , weld modelling , GD&T , tolerance stack-up analysis , and DFM/DFA principles .

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Creo modelling and detailing for mechanical components, assemblies, and drawings.
• Apply weld modelling techniques including weld symbols, standards, and CAD integration.
• Conduct GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack-up analysis for precision engineering.
• Implement DFM/DFA principles and Lean Manufacturing concepts to optimize design and production.
• Analyze machine configurations and determine required parts for rebuilds of heavy machinery.
• Maintain and update service catalogs and rebuild templates for lifecycle management.
• Generate accurate parts lists and cross-reference with historical service data.
• Create build books and documentation using advanced tools like Teamcenter Vismockup .
• Interpret engineering drawings and translate into 3D models and manufacturing-ready documentation.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, manufacturing feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize tooling and fixture designs.
• Communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders for project execution.
• Manage multiple rebuild and tooling projects simultaneously with strong analytical skills.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 210 years of experience in mechanical design, rebuild operations, or tooling.
• Strong expertise in Creo modelling and detailing .
• Proficiency in weld modelling , GD&T , and tolerance stack-up analysis .
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA principles , Lean Manufacturing , and material selection .
• Familiarity with Teamcenter Vismockup and heavy machinery components (e.g., construction, mining equipment).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills (PowerPoint/Keynote).
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and collaboration abilities.
