Demand Planner - Supply Chain Planning

Job Summary:

The position of Demand Planner requires for the incumbent to be responsible for balancing supply and demand effectively while ensuring seamless execution of the finalized SNOP sales plan. This involves collaboration with Sales team, Product team, Sourcing / Procurement Team, Logistics, Design, Quality, Finance etc. The incumbent will drive end-to-end supply chain performance ensuring order fulfilment with product availability, service level adherence and minimizing product obsolescence. The job demands strong leadership, analytical rigour cross-functional coordination in key supply-chain areas and is the single point contact for the Sales and Marketing team on product availability for the product category.

The position will be responsible for:

Planning -

• Responsible for order fulfilment for product fulfilment against order at CGCEL Central Warehouses as well as Sales office branches basis the S&OP aligned with Sales team.
• Lead S&OP discussion with Sales/Marketing and within the Supply chain function to assure supply readiness for Month 1, Month 2 and Month 3
• Release supply schedules for in-house and vendor sourced deliveries. Track supply adherence for supply sources on daily basis to achieve Placement Efficiency score as per KRA.
• Responsible for developing Inventory policies and ensuring compliance
• Review of SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory) and preparing long term/short term plans for avoidance/liquidation.
• Set-up and execute regular drum-beat reviews with Sales teams across regions on product availability for Sales.
• Responsible for maintaining service levels with close co-ordination with production, sourcing and logistics teams.
• Root Cause Analysis for miss on stock availability, inventory plan and forecast error.
• Identify levers to drive on-time service improvement and forecast accuracy.
• Lead weekly supply presentation for the category, to Division and Company leadership team.
• Long term capacity sufficiency for various products in the portfolio.
• Support Customer Service team on visibility and material availability.
• Root Cause Analysis for miss on stock availability, inventory plan and order losses.

• Inventory Days of Inventory (value), Excess & Obsolete inventory review (SLOB analysis)
• OTIF tracking for MTO orders

Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

B.E / B. Tech / BSc, MBA with 6 - 9 years of experience in consumer goods/consumer durables supply chain planning

• Broad understanding of end-to-end supply chain, planning functions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in SAP ERP / R3 and Microsoft Office
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Having experience / understanding of Logistics function & working capital management is an added advantage.
