Job Description

We are looking for an experienced DBT Developer with strong expertise in modern data transformation and analytics engineering. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with dbt Core, dbt Cloud, and data modeling best practices, along with the ability to design scalable data pipelines and ensure high data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Build and manage data models across the entire analytics lifecycle.
• Implement reusable logic using Jinja and dbt macros.
• Recommend and implement optimal materialization strategies such as:
• Incremental
• Snapshot
• View
• Table
• Ephemeral
• Develop and maintain data quality tests including generic and singular tests.
• Integrate and utilize external dbt packages such as:
• dbt-utils
• dbt-expectations
• Elementary
• Monitor and improve data observability and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data transformation and quality issues.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data models.
• Maintain best practices for version control, CI/CD, and data governance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with dbt (dbt Core and dbt Cloud).
• Strong experience in Jinja templating and macro development.
• Expertise in data modeling and analytics engineering principles.
• Experience working with Git for version control.
• Familiarity with AWS MWAA, Amazon Redshift, and modern data platforms.
• Strong SQL and data transformation skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve data quality issues and pipeline failures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in enterprise-scale data environments.
• Understanding of data engineering and analytics engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and orchestration tools.
