Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Database Developer with a strong background in SQL Serverbased data solutions, ETL development, and enterprise reporting. This role is hands on and execution-focused, supporting business-critical data pipelines, reporting systems, and database operations.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with the Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, and SSRS), is comfortable working in complex enterprise environments, and can support both development and production operations. This role partners closely with application teams, business stakeholders, and support teams to ensure reliable, scalable data solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, views, and functions.

Develop, enhance, and support SSIS ETL packages for data integration, migration, and transformation.

Build and maintain SSRS reports, including parameterized, drill-down, drill-through, and subscription-based reports.

Perform query optimization and performance tuning, including indexing and execution plan analysis.

Support data migrations between systems (including MS Access, SAP, Excel, and other source systems).

Deploy and schedule ETL and reporting jobs using SQL Server Agent and Azure DevOps.

Collaborate with application and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.

Provide production support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for data pipelines and reports.

Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL workflows, database objects, and reporting solutions.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or a related field. 57 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Serverbased data solutions, including SSIS, SSRS, and T-SQL development in enterprise environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL development.

Proven experience with SSIS for ETL development, including error handling, logging, and performance optimization.

Strong experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports.

Experience working with data warehousing and data modeling concepts.

Familiarity with SQL Server Agent scheduling and deployment processes.

Experience supporting production environments and collaborating with cross functional teams.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or other cloud-based data integration tools.

Exposure to Power BI or other reporting/visualization tools.

Experience migrating or modernizing MS Access databases to SQL Server.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar CI/CD tools.

Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments (healthcare, financial services, insurance, or benefits administration).

Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
