Senior Database Administrator

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our technical team. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in managing and optimizing databases, a deep understanding of database technologies, and a proven track record of ensuring data integrity and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Database Management: Administer, maintain, and support our database environments, primarily focusing on MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• Performance Optimization: Proactively monitor and tune database performance to ensure high availability, scalability, and efficiency. This includes query optimization, indexing strategies, and server configuration.
• Database Migrations: Expertly plan, execute, and manage database migration projects, ensuring a seamless transition with minimal downtime and data loss.
• ETL Expertise: Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to support data warehousing and business intelligence needs.
• Security & Backups: Implement and enforce database security policies, manage user access, and establish reliable backup and recovery procedures.
• Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior team members on database best practices and problem-solving techniques.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex database issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Database Administrator.
• Demonstrated expertise in administering and optimizing MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
• In-depth knowledge of database architecture, replication, and high availability solutions.
• Proven experience with ETL processes and tools.
• Extensive experience with database performance tuning and query optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
