Senior Data Scientist - GenAI

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and frame GenAI opportunities with product and business teams.
• Design and run LLM POCs (copilots, RAG over enterprise data, agents, summarization, auto-insights, content generation).
• Compare prompting vs RAG vs fine-tuning and model choices; document tradeoffs across cost, performance, and UX .
• Build end-to-end experimentation flows : data prep, retrieval, prompts, guardrails, and evaluation loops.
• Convert successful POCs into clear, buildable designs and partner with engineering to move toward production.
• Define and run practical evaluations (task success, hallucinations, safety, usability) and iterate based on feedback.
• Track new models, tools, and patterns and translate relevant ideas into roadmap items.
• Mentor junior data scientists on LLMs, experimentation, and applied problem-solving .

Requirements

• 8+ years in data science / ML, including 2+ years hands-on with LLMs / Generative AI.
• Masters Degree in Data Science / Statistics / Mathematics or related field required; PhD preferred .
• Strong Python and experience with modern LLM tooling (transformers, vector DBs, RAG frameworks, evaluation/guardrail tools).
• Solid grounding in ML and applied statistics .
• Comfortable working from ambiguous briefs , structuring experiments, and driving decisions.
