About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist with deep expertise in data science methodologies and exceptional proficiency in Python. You will lead end-to-end analytical initiatives from problem framing and data preparation to model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring. This role requires strong technical skills, a business-oriented mindset, and the ability to work across teams to deliver high-impact, data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Identify and frame GenAI opportunities with product and business teams.
• Design and run POCs using LLMs (copilots, RAG over enterprise data, agents, summarization, auto-insights, content generation).
• Compare prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, and model choices, documenting trade-offs in cost, performance, and UX.
• Implement experimentation flows: data prep, retrieval, prompts, guardrails, and evaluation loops.
• Turn successful POCs into clear, buildable designs and collaborate with engineers to take them toward production.
• Define practical evaluation methods (task success, hallucinations, safety, usability) and iterate based on feedback.
• Stay up to date with the latest LLM/GenAI models, tools, and patterns and bring relevant ideas into the roadmap.
• Mentor junior data scientists on LLMs, experimentation, and applied problem-solving.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data science / ML, with 2+ years hands-on with LLMs / Generative AI.
• Masters degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field required; PhD preferred.
• Strong Python skills and experience with modern LLM tooling (transformers, vector DBs, RAG frameworks, evaluation/guardrail tools).
• Solid grounding in ML and applied statistics.
• Ability to work from ambiguous briefs and structure clear experiments.
