Senior Data Scientist / AI-ML Engineer

Oracle Revenue Recognition (RevRec) is seeking a Senior Developer (IC4) to design, develop, and deliver advanced data-driven, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions that enhance operational efficiency, automation, and decision-making across enterprise RevRec platforms.

This is a senior-level individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise in Python-based Data Science, Machine Learning, Oracle Database technologies, enterprise analytics platforms, and scalable production systems. The successful candidate will independently drive complex initiatives, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and deliver high-impact, enterprise-grade capabilities.

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI solutions to address complex business and operational challenges.

• Build robust Python-based analytics and modeling solutions using Jupyter Notebooks and industry-standard libraries.

• Perform data exploration, feature engineering, model development, validation, and performance optimization on large datasets.

• Develop and maintain scalable end-to-end data and ML pipelines, including ingestion, transformation, training, deployment, and monitoring.

• Apply Generative AI, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and advanced analytics techniques to automate and enhance enterprise workflows.

• Develop and optimize SQL and PL/SQL solutions for high-performance data processing and analytics.

• Work extensively with Oracle Database to ensure data integrity, scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Integrate AI, analytics, and data-driven outputs into Oracle APEX applications and enterprise business processes.

• Support analytics, visualization, and reporting initiatives using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or equivalent enterprise BI platforms.

• Ensure adherence to best practices in model governance, version control, explainability, testing, security, and performance monitoring.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical and analytical solutions.

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical standards, engineering excellence, and knowledge sharing.

• Identify and drive opportunities to improve automation, scalability, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across RevRec.

• Minimum of 12+ years of overall professional experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Software Engineering, or related technical domains.

• Expert-level proficiency in Python for Data Science, Machine Learning, and analytics.

• Strong hands-on experience using Jupyter Notebooks for research, modeling, and production prototyping.

• Solid foundation in statistics, predictive modeling, experimentation, and advanced data analysis.

• Strong experience with Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.

• Experience designing or integrating solutions using Oracle APEX.

• Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) or comparable enterprise BI and analytics platforms.

• Experience managing ML model lifecycle, data pipelines, and production deployments.

• Proven ability to work with large-scale datasets, optimize performance, and build scalable architectures.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and enterprise data ecosystems (OCI preferred).

• Operate as a senior technical individual contributor, owning complex solutions end-to-end with minimal supervision.

• Lead technical design, architecture decisions, and solution strategy to ensure scalability, reliability, and production readiness.

• Influence engineering standards, tooling decisions, and best practices across the organization.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and data scientists.

• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leadership.

• Balance hands-on delivery with strategic technical leadership and problem-solving.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field preferred.

• Equivalent industry experience and demonstrated technical expertise will also be strongly considered.
