JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title Senior Data Engineer

Overview:

The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-scale data pipelines and integration solutions. This role requires deep expertise in data engineering principles, strong knowledge of relational databases, and experience with cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity, compliance, and governance while driving innovation in data architecture and analytics. This position involves partnering with stakeholders to solve complex data challenges and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions that support business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of advanced data pipelines, ensuring seamless ETL/ELT of data into enterprise storage systems.
• Oversee data integration from diverse sources, maintaining data consistency, integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Optimize data pipelines and workflows for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Establish robust data validation, quality checks, and error-handling mechanisms to ensure enterprise data integrity.
• Implement and enforce best practices in data governance, including metadata management and lineage tracking.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and address complex data challenges, delivering scalable and innovative solutions.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Qualification:

• 7+ years of data engineering experience, including expertise in data integration, pipeline optimization, and enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Strong expertise in:-
• Databases: Oracle and PostgreSQL
• ETL/ELT & Data Integration: Experience in maintaining and refactoring existing data pipelines
• Data Warehousing & Governance: Strong understanding of data integrity, compliance, and validation
• Cloud & Storage Technologies: Familiarity with AWS or Azure environments

Good to Have Skills:

• Python & scripting for automation and data processing
• Workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow)
• Data streaming technologies (Kafka, Spark, Flink)
• Big Data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, Hadoop, Teradata)
• Exposure to AI/ML and advanced analytics
• Experience with NoSQL databases

• Ability to design scalable and maintainable data architectures.
