Role Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize data pipelines and backend systems to

support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence. You will collaborate with cross-functional

teams to ensure data is reliable, accessible, and scalable, leveraging modern tools and

cloud-based ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and workflows.

Build scalable and efficient data platforms using Big Data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop).

Collaborate with backend, DevOps, and cloud teams to integrate and deploy solutions.

Ensure high performance, availability, and security of data systems in cloud environments

(AWS, GCP, Azure).

Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automation for data

infrastructure.

Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver optimized solutions for analytics,

reporting, and ML use cases.

Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks in data engineering workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

36 years of experience in Data Engineering, Backend Development, or related fields.

Strong programming skills in Python and Java.

Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies like Apache Spark, PySpark, Kafka, Hadoop,

Hive.

Experience with OpenSearch / ELK Stack for data indexing, search, and analytics.

Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred) including S3, EMR, Redshift, Glue, Lambda.

Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and data warehouse design.

Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and microservices architecture.

Knowledge of DevOps practices for scalable and automated deployments.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Good to Have

Exposure to Machine Learning workflows or MLOps.

Experience with monitoring and logging frameworks (Prometheus, ELK).

Familiarity with data security, governance, and compliance best practices.
