About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions on Microsoft Azure . You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision making using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python and modern data engineering practices . Experience in finance/insurance domain and strong client-facing skills are mandatory. Job Description Data Engineer 9_

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics .
• Work extensively with Azure Databricks / Microsoft Fabric (must-have) to build scalable data engineering solutions.
• Design and optimize data models, data warehouses and data lakes for structured and unstructured data.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and manage databases for high performance and reliability.
• Develop Python scripts (Pandas, NumPy etc.) for data ingestion, transformation, automation and integrations.
• Partner with data analysts and data scientists to ensure data quality, accessibility and readiness for analytics / ML.
• Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, anomalies and actionable insights.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues , ensuring adherence to governance and compliance standards.
• Maintain clear technical documentation for architectures, pipelines, workflows and best practices.
• Continuously stay updated on Azure data services and modern data engineering trends.

Must-Have Skills

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer .
• Strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Factory .
• Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric mandatory for this role.
• Strong SQL skills (joins, CTEs, query optimization).
• Solid Python experience for data processing and automation.
• Hands-on work with ETL/ELT processes , data warehousing and data modeling concepts.
• Experience with Azure storage services (Data Lake / Blob etc.).
• Experience working in finance / insurance domain.
• Familiarity with Git / version control and Agile ways of working.
