We are seeking a highly experienced Ontology Data Architect to lead the design, evolution, and operationalization of enterprise ontologies on the Palantir Foundry platform. This is a product-driven role focused on real-world impact not theoretical modeling.

Key Responsibilities

Design, own, and iteratively evolve business-driven ontologies representing operational processes, assets, events, and relationships.

Ensure ontology adoption through active use in applications, analytics, workflows, and automation.

Partner with product teams to co-design ontology elements aligned to user journeys.

Collaborate with platform teams to standardize reusable semantic patterns as shared assets.

Translate complex domain knowledge into scalable, maintainable ontology structures.

Facilitate SME workshops to resolve ambiguity across systems, sites, and teams.

Align data pipelines with ontology semantics in partnership with data engineers.

Guide data mapping, enrichment, contextualization, lineage, quality, and governance through semantic design.

Define ontology principles, guardrails, and extension standards.

Enable product teams to safely extend and reuse ontology components.

Required Experience

10+ years in data modeling, semantic modeling, or ontology design within complex enterprise environments.

Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry Ontologies (or equivalent semantic platforms).

Strong collaboration with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers.

Experience in iterative, product-led delivery environments (not big upfront design).

Ability to handle complex operational domains with pragmatic, outcome-focused modeling.

Nice to Have

Experience in industrial, asset-intensive, or operations-heavy environments.

Background in data engineering, analytics, or platform teams.

Familiarity with governance, metadata management, and data catalog concepts.
