Enterprise Data Architecture | Financial Services | Cloud & Modern Data Platforms

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Data Architect with strong hands-on expertise in designing enterprise-scale data architectures across complex financial ecosystems. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise data strategy, establish a single source of truth, and architect high-performance cloud and hybrid data platforms.

This role focuses more on architecture strategy, cloud platforms, governance, and enterprise design.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Architecture

• Design enterprise-wide data architecture frameworks and standards.
• Define canonical data models and enforce modeling governance across domains.
• Architect Operational Data Stores (ODS) and enterprise Data Warehouses.
• Lead enterprise-level architecture discussions with Business, Engineering, BI, and SOR teams.
• Ensure traceability and single source of truth across platforms.

Cloud & Modern Data Platforms

• Architect and optimize solutions across Snowflake, Oracle Exadata, MongoDB.
• Design hybrid cloud data ecosystems (Azure / AWS).
• Lead event-driven architectures and streaming patterns.
• Define microservices-based data product strategy.

Data Governance & Metadata

• Establish enterprise data catalog and lineage strategy (Alation, Collibra).
• Define governance policies, standards, and stewardship models.
• Support audit, compliance, and regulatory data controls.

Performance & Optimization

• Define performance engineering strategies (partitioning, indexing, caching).
• Oversee Snowflake warehouse scaling and optimization.
• Review and approve ETL/ELT architectural patterns.

Technical Leadership

• Act as SME for enterprise data architecture.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and modelers.
• Conduct architecture workshops and cross-functional design reviews.

Required Experience

• 15+ years in enterprise data architecture.
• Strong experience in Financial Services (Cards, Payments, Banking).
• Deep knowledge of Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault, DDD.
• Strong experience in Snowflake, Oracle Exadata, MongoDB.
• Cloud expertise in Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong governance & enterprise metadata experience.
• Python and SQL expertise.
