About The Role

Augmenta is looking for a versatile Financial Data Analyst to join its Category III Alternative Investment Fund (AIF). You will be the bridge between complex financial datasets and strategic fund operations. This is a high-impact role in a high-stress environmentthat requires a blend of traditional financial modelling and modern AI-driven coding techniques.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Fund Operations & Modelling: Own the end-to-end understanding of NAV calculations, Regression analysis, and the application of Highwater Marks in performance fee structures.
• Data Analysis & Modelling: Leverage strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets, tackle business challenges, and design database structures that scale.
• Advanced Spreadsheet Management: Highly experienced in MS Excel and Google Sheets for sophisticated financial modelling and reporting.
• AI-Assisted Development: Proficiency in Python and SQL is preferred, with a strong focus on "Vibe Coding"utilising AI tools (like Cursor, Claude, or Gemini) to prototype, debug, and deploy data solutions rapidly.
• Strategic Communication: Translate data-driven insights into clear, actionable recommendations for fund managers and diverse stakeholders.
• Ad Hoc Analytics: Respond quickly to diverse business challenges with "just-in-time" analysis, providing data-driven support for strategic decisions as they arise.

Qualification

• Experience: 45 years in Computer Science or Data Science, specifically within financial asset management or related industries.
• Education: A degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Finance. CFA, MBA (Finance), or a Masters degree is highly preferred.
• Mindset: Used to working in a fast-paced, high-pressure startup environment. You must be comfortable with the "zero-to-one" nature of an AIF.
• Tech Stack: Familiarity with industry-standard analytics platforms and software.
