Senior Cyber Security Engineer

Synersys is looking for a hands-on Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to help us build, configure, and operate

high-impact SOCs for client environments.

Location: Hyderabad, Gachibowli

Experience: 8+ Years

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Build and configure SOCs, SIEMs, and EDR platforms

Set up and manage client security environments

Monitor, triage, and remediate security incidents

Lead vulnerability assessments and drive remediation

Develop reusable security assets, demos, and playbooks

Must-Have Skills

8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, or security operations

SIEM / Security Platforms: Splunk, Wazuh, IBM QRadar, Rapid7

EDR experience: CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Microsoft Defender

Strong cloud security experience (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Hands-on VAPT experience and firewall exposure (e.g., Palo Alto)

Knowledge of regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI-DSS)

Scripting skills: Python, PowerShell, or Bash

Solid networking and operating system fundamentals

Nice to Have

Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud automation tools

AI integration with cybersecurity tools

Certifications such as Security+, CEH/CPTE, or CISSP
