Job description (About the Role)

We are looking for a sharp and transaction-focused Senior Legal Executive to join our Contracts team. In this role, you will be the engine behind our deal closures, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial agreements. Your focus will be on drafting clear, business-aligned contracts and facilitating smooth negotiations to expedite business transactions.

You will act as a key partner to business stakeholders, translating their commercial needs into solid contractual frameworks. This position focuses on the mechanics of deal-makingensuring terms are precise, obligations are clear, and agreements are executed efficiently to keep the business moving forward.

Key Deliverables (What Will You Do)

Drafting & Negotiation:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to:
• Licensing Agreements
• Service Agreements (MSAs, SOWs)
• Vendor and Procurement Agreements
• Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
• Ensure all agreements accurately reflect business requirements and align with company policies.

Contract Lifecycle Execution:

• Handle the end-to-end execution of contracts, from initial request to final signature.
• Maintain the central repository of contracts, ensuring all documents are archived and indexed correctly for easy retrieval.
• Monitor contract renewals, expiries, and obligations to ensure timely actions.

Business Support & Advisory:

• Provide day-to-day legal support to various business verticals.
• Assist in creating and updating standard contract templates and playbooks for recurring business transactions.
• Conduct legal research to solve specific problems and advise stakeholders on relevant laws and regulations.

Job Specification (What Will You Need)

• Qualified LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from a recognized university.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation (Law firm or In-house legal department preferred).

• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of the Indian Contract Act and associated commercial laws.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is mandatory.
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools is a plus.

• Competencies & Soft Skills:
• Ability to research legal issues independently and propose practical solutions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
• A self-starter with excellent business discernment who can work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with internal cross-functional teams (Finance, Sales, HR, etc.) and external parties.
