Oracle Cloud Performance Test Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Performance Test Engineer to join our Oracle Cloud team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough performance testing, analysis and tuning of the overall system.

This includes collaborating with development teams to ensure the system design meets the performance requirements, and formulating test strategies and test plans to ensure the software meets the highest quality standards.

Essential Functions

• Develop and implement performance test plans and strategies
• Conduct system and integrated performance tests in line with approved test plans, monitor and measure the performance of the system during these tests and validating benchmarks.
• Create technical documents which detail the testing process and results
• Configure and maintain test environments to ensure accurate and consistent test results
• Collect data during performance testing, provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for performance-related issues. analyse the results and report their findings to the development team and stakeholders.
• Develop automated testing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Simulate, analyse and test the system’s behaviour under various conditions, such as high user traffic or data processing.
• Technical expertise in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, to conduct load, stress, and scalability testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify bottlenecks, bugs, and solutions to enhance overall system performance.
• Effective communication skills to effectively convey performance test results, analysis, and recommendations to developers, stakeholders.
• Keen attention to detail to detect any minor changes in system performance over time, and ability to remain focused while managing multiple testing environments concurrently.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge on Oracle Fusion ERP application preferably on SCM modules

• Proven work experience as a Performance Test Engineer
• Experience with performance testing and benchmarking tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Knowledge of SQL and scripting

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, master’s degree in computer science, or a master’s degree in business administration.
