Your work profile

Job Title: Open-Source Architect
Location: Delhi
Job Type: Full-time
Experience: 6-7 years in software development & architectural role involving open-source technologies
Qualification: Bachelors degree in computer science or related field.
Roles & Responsibilities

Solution Design: Develop comprehensive architectures aligned with business objectives.
Technical Leadership: Guide development teams on architecture principles, coding standards, and deployment best practices
Requirements Analysis: Gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
Technology Evaluation: Stay updated with emerging technologies, evaluating their suitability.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks early in the project lifecycle.
Design and review scalable architecture using open-source stacks (e.g., Linux, Apache/Nginx, PostgreSQL/MySQL, Node.js, Python, etc.)
Evaluate and recommend suitable open-source tools and frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Product, etc.) to ensure consistent and secure delivery
Lead proof-of-concepts, pilots, and tech evaluations
Monitor and contribute to relevant open-source communities
Ensure compliance with licensing and security standards across the open-source ecosystem

Requirements

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
6+ years of software development experience, with deep exposure to open-source technologies
Prior working experience with Government departments/ IDO like UN, ADB, World Bank, etc
Proven experience in designing large-scale enterprise systems using open-source tools
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Excellent understanding of open-source licensing, governance, and contribution models
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
