Senior Consultant

The IC2 Technical Consultant supports the development, configuration, data engineering, and testing activities across the OFSAA Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite, including Profitability (PFT), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Allocation Engine, Costing, and MIS applications. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Rule Framework & Configuration

• Configure OFSAA EPM Rule Framework components for PFT, FTP, and Allocation modules, including:
  • Transformation rules
    • Allocation rules
    • Driver-based logic
    • FTP pool and transfer pricing rule setup
    • Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP)
    • Profitability and Performance (PFT)
    • Allocation Engine
    • Costing / MIS structures
• Maintain metadata (DIM/FCT) structures, mappings, hierarchies, and setup workbooks.
• Execute and validate rule runs and batch cycles for assigned modules.

2. SQL/PLSQL Development

• Develop SQL/PLSQL scripts for data extraction, validation, enrichment, and rule logic support.
• Assist in developing and optimizing small-to-medium procedures, functions, and packages.
• Perform technical troubleshooting and basic performance tuning for queries and rule outputs.

3. Data Integration & Validation

• Work with technical leads to support STG → FCT → reporting layer mapping.
• Perform data profiling, reconciliation checks, and exception handling under guidance.
• Collaborate with ETL engineers (ODI/Informatica) for data ingestion updates and mapping clarifications.

4. Testing & QA Support

• Prepare and execute unit test cases and SIT scenarios for profitability, costing, or allocation runs.
• Compare technical outputs with expected results and document discrepancies.
• Log defects, support RCA, and participate in fix validation.

5. Production Support & Troubleshooting

• Support batch execution cycles, scenario runs, and technical deployments.
• Analyse logs, rule traces, and data inconsistencies to identify root causes.
• Escalate complex issues to senior consultants and help implement fixes.

6. Documentation

• Maintain technical configuration documents, code repositories, setup sheets, and design notes.
• Prepare and update mapping documents and transformation specifications.
• Maintain trackers for build tasks and defect resolution.

7. Collaboration

• Work closely with functional EPM consultants to interpret business logic and translate into technical implementation.
• Coordinate with DBAs and infrastructure teams on performance and deployment tasks.
• Participate in design sessions, training, and technical walkthroughs.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of SQL and PLSQL (joins, aggregations, analytic functions).
• Hands-on experience in working with rule framework components.
• Familiarity with metadata setup and OFSAA DIM/FCT structures.
• Experience with ETL pipelines or database ingestion processes.
• Basic understanding of performance considerations (indexing, partitioning concepts).

Product Knowledge

• Exposure to one or more OFSAA EPM modules:
• Knowledge of batch execution, scenario configuration, and model execution flows.

Domain Knowledge (Technical View)

• Understanding of banking or finance concepts (GL, products, cost centers, profitability drivers).
• Ability to translate functional allocation or FTP logic into rule implementation.
