Senior Consultant

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant with deep expertise in Red Hat OpenShift to join our professional services team. In this role, you will lead consulting engagements focused on container platforms, cloud-native transformation, and hybrid/multi-cloud modernization. You will work closely with enterprise customers to design, implement, optimize, and support OpenShift clusters and related PaaS solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with consulting acumen, customer engagement experience, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms consulting engagements including assessment, architecture, deployment, and tuning for production-grade container platforms.
• Design scalable, secure, and highly available OpenShift solutions aligned to enterprise requirements (networking, storage, IAM, monitoring).
• Assist clients with container strategy, workload onboarding, and CI/CD pipeline integration with modern toolchains.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, security, infra, developers) to ensure seamless platform enablement and workload migration.
• Provide technical thought leadership in on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-hosted OpenShift environments.
• Conduct workshops, brown-bags, and enablement sessions for client teams and internal stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues related to OpenShift cluster operations, performance, and upgrades.
• Document architectural designs, runbooks, operational guides, and project deliverables.
• Ensure best practices for security, compliance, and automation are baked into solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

What Youll Bring

• 58+ years of experience in enterprise consulting, systems engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Red Hat OpenShift (4.x/Latest) including installation, configuration, upgrades, scaling, and troubleshooting.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes fundamentals (pods, services, ingress/route, operators, RBAC, CRDs).
• Hands-on with platform automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Operators).
• Good understanding of networking (Calico/OVN/SDN), storage (CEPH/NFS), and security (SELinux, NetworkPolicies) in a container context.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or Tekton.
• Familiarity with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) in the context of OpenShift deployments.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) and familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK).
• Excellent client engagement and communication skills with the ability to translate technical details into business value.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work in ambiguous environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration / Deployment (or equivalent).
• Experience with multi-cluster management (RHACM / OCM).
• Exposure to modern application workloads (microservices, service mesh, serverless).
• Experience in consulting engagements involving migration from legacy platforms to OpenShift.
