Role Background:

The Personal Care Insights Hub aims to drive strategic insights and operational efficiency to transform Personal Care CMI at Unilever by ensuring we "Stay 3 Steps Ahead." The role involves leading and coaching two direct reports, liaising with global BG and BU CMI teams across Skin Cleansing, Deodorant & Oral categories to deliver on PC-wide meta-learnings and a more profound understanding of key strategic priorities for PC.

This is a key leadership role with Unilever CMI, which is based in Mumbai, India. As a part of the PC Insights HUB, the candidate would have an integral role to enable the growth of the Personal Care business.

Responsibilities:

  • The position will liaise with global BG and BU CMI teams across Skin Cleansing, Deodorant & Oral categories.  
  • Lead and coach 2 direct reports
  • Work closely with the business to understand pain points, identify knowledge gaps, and then devise solutions/approaches to address the same.
  • The candidate should have a deep understanding of the traditional as well as the new agile Social first tools, equipping them to deliver work with excellence.
  • The candidate should be able to think differently, be willing to experiment, and focus on what counts.
  • The candidate will take the lead to build a deeper understanding of pan PC strategic initiatives, which include meta-analysis on UBS, idea testing, communication (TV & Digital), Instacept & Packs for PC across geographies. This includes not only looking at past results but also going deeper to understand consumer preferences/trends and accordingly guide the business.
  • Able to reach out to people to seek information/past work, communicate the key findings and insight to senior stakeholders and peers both conversationally and in a formal presentation style to drive business impact

Key Experience/Skills Requirement:

  • At least 12+ years of experience in Insights & Research1.
  • Experience in stakeholder management.
  • Display a growth mindset – showcase the ability to learn, grow, create impact, and not be afraid of experimenting.
  • Strong strategic rigour with the ability to decipher multiple information sources into a clear, succinct story.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, such as BG and BU CMI teams, as well as external agency partners, to achieve project deliverables

INTERFACES:

  • The role will have a global scope for the Personal Care business group
  • The job holder will have an interface with the BG and BU PC CMI teams
  • The job holder will also work with other cross-functional teams, ie, strategy, marketing, predictive analytics, etc., and deliver internal briefs to drive growth
