Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (Hybrid role)

2 days from the office in Chennai & 3 Days Work from home.

Experience: 7+ years

Salary- Rs 30 lakhs- 35 lakhs/annum

Responsibilities:

DevOps and SRE Practices: Design, implement, and manage automated CI/CD platforms

• Standardize and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management
• Observability framework implementation, Security, and shift left mindset

Frameworks and Tools: Build high performance cloud native tools and services(Internal Dev Platforms, custom operators, etc.)

• Build frameworks for development workflows(CI/CD) and platforms for managing containerized workloads across environments
• Reduce toil through automation for all the platform productions. Reliability with Scale(SRE) Build auto-healing systems and chaos engineering
• Scale and manage a distributed system
• Champion incident response(on-call rotation/blameless postmortems
• Optimize cloud costs(FinOps), cloud security, and scalability.
• Qualifications: -
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong software engineering background (Go/Java preferred).
• Cloud-native development (AWS/GCP APIs, SDKs, and infra-as-code).
• Experience building internal platforms/tools (not just managing infra).
• Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems.
• Experience in designing and building API services is required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and can-do attitude and communication skills are a must.
• Experience in monitoring and alerting(Prometheus/Grafana) is a plus.

Additional notes: This role is not just a DevOps/cloud/ engineer. It requires a platform mindset and building reusable, scalable infrastructure

Look for candidates who bridge development and operations, not ops-focused.

Passion and curiosity to learn new technologies, languages, and patterns to improve security, availability, performance, and new capabilities quickly.

Previous experience working in startups is also very helpful, along with a can-do attitude.
