Job Description

Position Name - Senior Claims In-charge

Location - Bangalore

Experience Range - 12 years+

Mandatory Requirement:

  • Educational Background: A bachelors degree in business, insurance, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 12-15 years of experience in General insurance Claims, Team leader qualities.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and overseeing end-to-end claims operations for the South Zone, ensuring efficient handling of complex and high-value claims while maintaining service quality, compliance, and team performance.


Key Responsibilities


  • Overall supervision of claims operations for Bengaluru and Chennai branches
  • Strategic handling and review of Bankers Indemnity, Fire, and Engineering and other line of
  • business claims
  • Review of large, complex, and escalated claims and settlement strategy
  • Coordination with insurers, surveyors, and insured
  • Ensuring compliance with internal processes, policy terms, and regulatory norms
  • Mentoring and performance management of regional claims teams
  • Key Performance Indicator
  • Claims TAT adherence
  • Reduction in claim escalations and re-openings
  • Settlement ratio for high-value and complex claims
  • Team productivity and retention
  • Audit & compliance.

Qualification and Experience

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications from III
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using claims management systems, CRM software, and
  • Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
