Senior Civil Structural Engineer

Civil and structure senior engineer: (Power & Renewable Energy (Consultancy))

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead civil and structural engineering activities for power and renewable energy projects (Solar, Wind, Transmission, Substations, etc.).
• Participate in tendering phase activities including scope definition, technical documentation, bid preparation, and BOQ review.
• Review and verify design drawings, calculations, and technical specifications from contractors and design consultants during the execution phase.
• Ensure that all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, geotechnical, etc.) to ensure design integration and consistency.
• Evaluate and approve foundation design, structural analysis, and layout drawings for power plant structures, switchyards, cable trenches, inverter buildings, control rooms, etc.
• Provide technical support and clarifications during construction, ensuring alignment between design intent and field execution.
• Conduct design optimization and value engineering to improve project efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Review vendor drawings and submittals, ensuring alignment with civil and structural design requirements.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, design review reports, and technical correspondence with stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors or in Civil Engineering.
• 1015 years of experience in engineering consultancy or owners engineer roles, with proven exposure to Power and Renewable Energy projects.
• Strong background in tender engineering, design review, and project execution support.
• Hands-on experience with relevant design tools such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, AutoCAD, SAFE, Revit, and MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of international design codes (IS, BS, Eurocode, ACI, etc.).
• Proven ability to interpret and review geotechnical reports, load data, and structural calculations.
• Strong coordination, reporting, and documentation skills.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with utility-scale solar, wind, or hybrid renewable projects .
• Exposure to transmission substation or switchyard civil works .
• Familiarity with EPC project interfaces and construction supervision support .
• Detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to quality and compliance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
