Profile background
We are pioneering the next generation of state-of-the-art marine robotic systems that serve both civil and defence sectors. From autonomous underwater vehicles to real-time sonar processing platforms; our work pushes the boundaries of what's possible beneath the surface. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong foundation in C/ C++ (not Python, not web-frameworks) to join our growing engineering team.
What You'll do:
> Develop high-performance, low-latency software for embedded and distributed systems
> Contribute to mission-critical applications including navigation, autonomy, and signal processing
> Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts in robotics, hardware, and underwater vision
> Ship software that will operate in some of the most challenging environments on Earth
Responsibilities
- Writing clean, high-quality, and highly maintainable code
- Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
- Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
- Support test and deployment of new products and features
- Participate in design, development, and testing with the underwater robots in the field - controlled waters and real-world conditions.
- Participate in code reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- Minimum of 1.5+ years work experience in c++ technologies with embedded Linux
- Experience in developing end-to-end applications with C++
- Experience with data structures, object orientated programming, parallel processing and inter process communication
- Good understanding of Bash, OS, and networking
