With our offering, restaurants can manage/automate their online presence, be it on their websites/apps or any of the leading food delivery platforms — Zomato, Swiggy, Amazon Foods, Deliveroo, Talabat, HungerStation, Jahez, etc. in the simplest manner.
At present, we are processing nearly 3 million transactions every month and are partnered with 12,000+ restaurants across India and the Middle East. The most defining aspects of our work are related to consistency, reliability, scalability, and agility. We make use of a wide variety of technologies and process significantly large amounts of data on a daily-basis.
Your role:
As an Inside Sales lead, you will lead a team of Outbound focussed team of sellers for the US. The focus of this team is to perform high-volume sales based out of India for independent (1-20 Outlet) restaurants in the US.
The US being a 0-1 market for UrbanPiper needs extensive implementation focus to design multiple experiments to identify the Ideal Customer Profile, churn customer segments that would not work for the Inside Sales setup. Additionally, this also involves designing processes that would increase inside sales velocity and input metrics to achieve consistent funnel conversion and revenue delivery.
You will:
- Develop the long-term vision and strategy for your region and prepare the staffing plan.
- Recruit, develop, and lead a team of AEs who understand the sales process and are great at building customer relationships.
- Assume shared responsibility with the onboarding team to ensure a smooth go-live experience for customers.
- Manage day-to-day operations using CRM tools (Salesforce), with a focus on performance against key sales metrics
- Engage restaurant decision makers by visiting them or engaging them over calls to get them to demo our product offering and convert them into paying customers.
- Coach and guide the team in developing consultative and solution-based sales skills through all facets of the sales cycle
- Play a personal and direct role in building and maintaining enduring customer relationships, up to the C-level
- Inspire, motivate, and enable personal and career development of team members, both to promote career growth and to increase impact for UrbanPiper
- Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with product, sales engineering, marketing, and customer success teams in the organization to help shape UrbanPiper’s products and solutions to meet customer needs.
- Design and implement micro experiments to understand the market through funnel conversion metrics ,through the team of sellers
- Collaborate closely with Sales / Revenue Operations to consistently improve the sales process through standardization and best practice adoption.
We are looking for someone who has/is:
- 5-8 years of experience in Sales and in a leadership role for the past 2+ years
- Good understanding of the food tech industry. Ability to understand and articulate technical concepts, and translate them into industry- or business-relevant terms.
- Ability to hire, train ,and coach a high-performance sales team
- Capable of exhibiting an empathetic, precise and articulate approach towards engaging senior decision makers and helping them understand the business value in adopting a SaaS/technical solution.
- A clear and correct manner of communicating their thoughts verbally or in written form
- Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Experience in selling a SaaS solution and able to understand technical topics comfortably
- Well-versed in managing their day-to-day activities on a CRM tool like Salesforce.
- Hands-on leader - inherent urge to spend time with customers; cannot sit behind a desk
