Job Description: Senior Business Analyst / Lead Business Analyst

(Process Scoping, Documentation, Solutioning & Automation)

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst with 14+ years of experience in business process analysis, automation solutioning, and documentation governance. The ideal candidate will have an engineering background and demonstrated expertise in leading complex transformation initiatives, driving strategic automation adoption, and partnering with senior stakeholders to design scalable, future-ready solutions.


Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Process Scoping & Transformation

  • Lead enterprise-level process discovery, scoping, and prioritization initiatives across multiple business units.
  • Evaluate processes for automation feasibility, ROI, risk, and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Conduct maturity assessments , identify transformation opportunities, and define future-state operating models.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on automation roadmap and process optimization.

2. Advanced Process Documentation & Governance

  • Oversee creation and governance of high-quality documentation: BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process maps, SOPs, solution design documents .
  • Establish and enforce documentation standards, templates, and review practices across teams.
  • Ensure end-to-end traceability between business requirements, solution design, and delivered functionality.
  • Coach junior analysts on documentation best practices and analytical frameworks.

3. Solution Design & Automation Architecture Support

  • Partner with engineering, automation, and platform teams to conceptualize and design robust automation solutions (RPA, workflow automation, AI/ML, analytics-driven transformation).
  • Evaluate tools, platforms, and integration options, ensuring solutions meet business and technical needs.
  • Review and challenge technical design decisions to ensure scalability, compliance, and sustainability.
  • Lead validation efforts through UAT strategy, review of test scenarios, defect triage, and process acceptance.

4. Stakeholder Leadership & Change Enablement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, guiding decision-making on process and automation strategy.
  • Lead requirement workshops, design sessions, and steering committee discussions with cross-functional leaders.
  • Develop and execute change management and training plans to support solution adoption.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, operations teams, and technology partners.

5. Program & People Leadership

  • Provide mentorship and direction to Business Analysts, Process Analysts, and Automation SMEs.
  • Support project managers in planning, estimation, and delivery risk management.
  • Drive continuous improvement culture, including coaching on Lean, Six Sigma, and automation best practices.
  • Contribute to organizational capability building in process and automation domains.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT, etc.) or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Minimum 14 years of experience in Business Analysis, Process Mapping, Automation Solutioning, or Transformation roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-scale process optimization or automation programs.
  • Expertise in process modeling standards (BPMN, UML) and documentation tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, Jira).
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies such as RPA, Agentic, Python Automation, workflow automation, and familiarity with scripting/technical concepts.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate with executives.


Preferred Skills

  • Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, Scrum Master .
  • Experience working with data-driven decisioning, AI/ML-enabled transformation, or digital operations.
  • Exposure to cloud ecosystems, APIs, and integration frameworks.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous environments and build structure where none exists.
