Senior Blockchain Backend Engineer

APEING Labs is building the next generation of on-chain trading and liquidity market intelligence infrastructure across perps, prediction markets, and high-velocity crypto assets. Our goal is not to ship features its to build infrastructure and intelligence layers that users and partners depend on.

This role is for engineers who think from first principles, care deeply about performance and correctness, and want to work on systems where latency, data integrity, and scale actually matter.

The Role

Were looking for a Senior Blockchain Backend Engineer with deep experience in Web3 infrastructure, DeFi systems, and backend architecture. Youll be responsible for designing and building mission-critical backend services that power real-time trading, data aggregation, and execution across multiple on-chain environments.

You will work closely with founders and senior engineers to make architectural decisions that define the platform long-term.

What Youll Work On

• High-performance backend services for on-chain trading
• Blockchain data ingestion, indexing, and aggregation pipelines
• RPC integrations and abstraction layers (Solana / EVM)
• Execution, routing, and state-sync systems
• Real-time market data, analytics, and user state
• Secure key management, secrets, and infra-level safeguards
• APIs and services that must be fast, reliable, and correct

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend architectures for Web3 products
• Build and maintain blockchain-native services with a focus on performance
• Own data integrity, correctness, and fault tolerance
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and infra teams to ship production systems
• Make thoughtful tradeoffs between speed, safety, and scalability
• Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
• Identify bottlenecks, failure modes, and long-term risks before they happen

What Were Looking For

Required:

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience
• Strong experience with blockchain / Web3 / DeFi systems
• Deep understanding of backend fundamentals (APIs, databases, concurrency, caching)
• Experience with high-throughput, low-latency systems
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Go, Rust, TypeScript, Python, etc.)
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong systems thinking and problem-solving skills

Strong Plus:

• Experience with Solana and/or EVM chains
• Experience building indexers, data pipelines, or RPC services
• Familiarity with trading systems or financial infrastructure
• Security-first mindset (keys, secrets, access control)
• Experience in early-stage or high-ownership environments
