Paves Technologies is looking for an experienced Java Technical Architect to design and lead the development of a modern payments platform in the Interchange domain. This role is ideal for someone who has experience building scalable platforms from 0 1 and can architect highly reliable, fault-tolerant payment systems.

Key Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end architecture for payment capabilities such as clearing, settlement, and reconciliation

Design scalable and resilient microservices using API-first and event-driven architecture

Define non-functional requirements (NFRs) including performance, scalability, availability, security, and observability

Lead technology decisions and document architectural trade-offs

Design and guide data architecture using PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Support Azure cloud architecture and deployment strategies

Mentor engineering teams and review system designs and architecture

Must Have

Experience as a Technical Architect / Solution Architect for enterprise systems

Strong expertise in distributed systems and microservices architecture

Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB

Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud

Understanding of payment flows such as clearing, settlement, and reconciliation

Nice to Have

FinTech experience is a plus.

Experience with Fiserv VisionNext or card management systems

Knowledge of Kafka / event streaming / resilient processing patterns

Experience in FinTech, Banking, Card Switching, or Payment platforms
